A change of scenery

I spent Christmas with a friend on Las Aves. Las Aves are uninhabited islands which belong to Venezuela and are situated 40 nautical miles due east from Bonaire. As the name suggests, there are mainly birds..

Collecting fire wood for Christmas eve's bonfire.

From Las Aves I sailed back to Curacao where I celebrated New Years eve together with Ben and Ingrid from s/y Blabber. Only a two days later, Harmattan was hauled out and stored for the coming months.

A last look at Harmattan in the pouring rain before I head off to the airport to catch my flight to Turkey

This is the place I will be working for the coming months. Quite a change of scenery! But being on a boat, one gets used open spaces, and so I'm quite happy with this view.
